Let's Help!
What are you going to do with the winter clothes that no longer fit your kids? How about giving them to the St. Peter's food pantry. Besides food, they supply clothing to families in need. The students at their school have to share boots and snow pants for recess. Let's see if we can help out a little. As you sort the winter gear at your house, bring the clean, out-grown jackets, boots, and snow pants to school and put them in the box in the lobby. They will be delivered to St. Peters on November 20. The next day boxes and bags are packed for distribution. Speaking of packing boxes and bags, they could use paper and plastic grocery bags. Those can also be placed in the boxes in the lobby. And if you want to spend a few hours doing something that will make you feel good and forget about your growing bills, how about helping pack all those boxes and bags? The pantry is run by a women who often stays up all night making sure the donations are ready for distribution. Monetary donations would also be appreciated; they will be used to purchase hams and turkeys for holiday meals. Contact Barb if you have any other questions.
